Autumn Term 2

This half term we will be looking at the human body in our topic called Blood Heart. The children will be learning all about the human body and how it functions and even dissecting a heart to look at how it works.

Week 6:

This week we have been preparing for and running our Christmas Fair. We had a fantastic time, made lots of Christmas decorations to sell, learn't about profit, money and talking to customers. We had a great time.

Week 5:

This week Class 5 have been practising a rap linked with the heart. They all sounded amazing. Below is a video demonstrating their lyrical prowess.

Week 4:

This week we have continued our investigation into the heart. We have looked at the different components which make up the blood in our body and the important job each part does. We then measured our pulse and how different types of exercise affected it. Once we had our results we used Microsoft Excel to record the results and create a bar chart from our data set.

Week 3:

This week we have been practising our Spanish greetings. We learn't to greet each other, ask our names and ask them how they were as well as being able to respond to all these things.

Week 2:

Today we kicked off our topic Blood Heart by dissecting a real life heart. The children had great fun examining blood clots, studying muscle tissue and following veins and arteries. 

Week 1:
Today we went on our Crucial Crew trip to learn all about safety in different situations. We learn't about online safety, first aid, fire safety and criminal responsibility.
Today Class 5 helped us to celebrate Remembrance Day with a very thoughtful and caring assembly

Today we made up lots of shoe-boxes as part of Operation Christmas Child. With everyone's generous donations we have made 21 boxes which will now be sent to a child to make their Christmas a little bit brighter.
