Christmas Party

Nativity rehearsal

Week 6

For our 'Will you read me a story?' topic, we went to watch Goldilocks and the three Bears at the Lamproom Theatre. The children had such a lovely time and were very well behaved. We are very proud of everyone in class 1.

Week 5

We have officially started our Christmas countdown in class1! We wrote letters to Santa and posted them. We can't wait for his response.

Class 1 is "beginning to look a lot like Christmas!🎄

Week 4

This week we launched our new topic 'Will you read me a story?' with a visit from Rapunzel. We were so excited to find out more about her. She sang us some songs of some of her favourite Disney friends and we played Rapunzel's version of musical statues. We hope Rapunzel will visit us again soon for we absolutely loved having her in our class!

In R.E, our new topic is 'Birthday'. It so happened that it was also Freddy the frog's birthday this week so of course we had to throw a party for him!🎉

Week 3

This week it was World Nursery Rhyme week. We looked at a different rhyme each day.

In R.E we were looking at other faiths.  We  were learning about Judaism and looked at the story of Hanukkah. We made menorahs.

Weekly Child Led Worship

Week 2

We had another busy week. It was anti bullying week and we wore odd socks to school. We  also learnt a song about Respect. In  our music lesson,we played the tune to the song with boomwhackers.

Class 4 children delivered a beautiful Child Led Worship session about forgiveness and reconciliation. Mrs Walker has obviously taught them well as they managed to do this even though Mrs Walker had been off poorly and was not avilable for the Worship leaders to discuss their ideas when they planned the session.

We finished off the week celebrating Children in Need day. We enjoyed the different carousel activities we had throughout the day.

Week 1

Class 1 children have definitely come back  from their holiday refreshed and ready to work  even harder.

On the first day back, we were learning about how to stay safe on bonfire night. We made our own version of a bonfire and "roasted" marshmallows.

Later in the week, as we are coming to the end of our topic (Do you want to be my friend?), we spent some time reviewing what we have learnt. We looked at the qualities "ingredients " for a good friend and made friendship buns for each other.

We finished the week with parents coming into school to look at what we have been learning in topic. They helped us make cards, bracelets and necklaces for our friends. A huge thank you to all the parents who managed to attend, we loved having you in our class and hope to see you back again for our...dare I say it, Christmas Play. Eeeek!!!!!

We also managed to make a poppy wreath for Remembrance Day.
