Federation Friday Events!

During Lent we participate in different activities every Friday. On these days we ask for donations to support local charities as well as those working around the world. Please see the information below for what will be happening each Friday. Additional information will also be sent out nearer the time.

Friday 10th March - Non-uniform day – We are collecting 50p donations for The Good Shepherd.

Friday 17th March – Non-uniform day – We are asking children to bring in tins of food to be donated to ‘Barnsley Food Bank’.

Friday 24th March - Non-uniform day – We will have an assembly on Wednesday 22nd March so that the children can see the work CAFOD do. They will give out little collection boxes for children to collect any loose change. These will be collected in on the Friday.

Friday 31st March - Non-uniform day – We are collecting 50p donations for ‘Save the Children’.

Friday 7th April - Non-uniform day – We will be asking children for some exciting ways to raise money so more details will follow! Some of you may have seen in the Chronicle, a local boy, Jacob Isherwood, and his family are trying to raise funds for ‘Dreamflights’. This is a charity who arrange holidays for children living with serious illness or disabilities. Jacob was chosen for such a holiday, and now wants to raise funds so that another child can have the same experience. Jacob is an ex-pupil of St Michael’s so as a Federation we want to get behind this wonderful cause.
