The Summer Term has got off to a great start with lots of work on pirates.
Take a look our fantastic wanted posters.
Come back soon to see what we are getting up to...
Pirate Ron visited Class Two and we had the most amazing time.
We started the day with a fantastic talk and information session about pirates, along with a little magic. This was followed by a brilliant and hilarious puppet show and we ended the day with a wonderful parent workshop making puppets of our own.
Our parent helpers were great and we thank you so much for giving up your time and coming along to make the day so special.
A huge thank you to Pirate Ron too, it was a truly memorable day.
This week we have been enjoying the sunshine and really making progress with our basketball skills.
So far we have worked on dribbling the ball, bounce passes, chest passes and shoulder passes.
The children have been having a great time.
We have been learning a little more about Our Lady as it is May.
The children have been learning about her early life and trying to create their own images, based on a range of famous images that we shared in class.
This week has seen the start of our Scented Garden topic. The children have spent time outside in our own school garden where they have investigated the different flowers, plants and scents. Rosemary and mint have been our favourite discoveries so far.
The children have also, been working on recreating a very famous garden in their artwork.
Can you guess which one?
Why not call in to Class Two to see the finished products?
We have been flexing our green fingers this week. We have been learning about the things that a seed needs for growth. Everyone has planted a sunflower seed which we will be monitoring over the coming weeks.
We wonder who's will grow the tallest...
This week we have been experimenting with seeds. We know what a seed needs to grow so we decided to see if a seed would grow if something was missing.
We have planted a seed without water, a seed without sun and a seed without soil and we will check on them after the holidays.
Watch this space...
