Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fantastic Summer Fayre. We all had a brilliant time and raised lots of money to be spent on new things for the children. Stay tuned to find out how much we raised.
We have finished off our celebration of Holy Week by looking at the stations of the cross with Class 5. A huge well done to Class 5 and a Happy Easter to all.

Today we have had a beautiful assembly from Class 4. They told us the story of The Last Supper to help prepare us for the events still to come in our Easter story.
A big thank you to class 2 for their wonderful assembly all about their music topic. they showed us some interesting instruments, some brilliant beats and some smashing singing. Well done Class 2.

Today has been World Book Day and everyone has worn costumes of their favorite characters. Everyone looked amazing, here are some examples of what people wore.
We started Lent with a wonderful assembly from Class 4 explaining the importance of this time of year. After that the whole school placed their Lenten promises on the school alter as an offering.
Today has been safety day at St Michaels. We have been learning all about different types of safety from Stranger Danger to E-safety.
Today Class 3 held a very successful science afternoon and invited parents in to learn all about creating something which would float.

Today at St Michael's we have been celebrating Judaism day and finding out about the many different aspects of Judaism, including Hanukkah, Jewish holy days, Kosher food and may other things.
We are very proud to announce that some of our children were selected as winners in the Christmas card competition held by our local MP. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Class 3 gave us a brilliant assembly all about the different Greeks they have learnt about. They also told us about the importance of Advent as a time to prepare.
Class 5 delivered a very somber and moving assembly today about Remembrance Day and the importance of the poppy. They talked about the history behind the poppy and why it was chosen to represent Remembrance Day.
We have also been finding out about E-safety today in schools and learning about all the different ways to stay safe when using the internet or other online devices.
Today we have had a wonderful celebration of all the new people in our school community, taking the opportunity to welcome new children and parents into our school family. A huge thank you to all those who attended and to Father Stone and class 4 for there brilliant mass.
Today Class 4 has their first assembly all about the history of the Romans and the Celts. They told us some very interesting facts through readings, drama and art.
Today Class 1 had their welcome assembly. They told us the story of Zacchaeus and the message that Jesus gave him about being a good friend, they explained what they had been learning, displayed some of their artwork and ended with a song. What a wonderful assembly; well done Class 1.
