Week 8

This week we have been investigating the effects of air resistance. We made parachutes of different sizes to do so. Also, in topic we have been recreating a scene from the Bayeux Tapestry. 

We think they look AMAZING! :) 

Week 7

In class 4 we have been writing a character description. We have begun to describe our character within actions to excite our reader, we are considering our reader carefully by using a range of sentence starters, including fronted adverbials that we have learned about this week. 

Week 5

This week in Class 4, we have been learning about Anglo Saxon village life, we have been exploring how the villages were arranged and why they chose to settle in this way! 

Week 4

This week has been a busy one, we have been working hard on our newspaper reports. We are currently reading Beowulf, and we have written a report announcing the news that Beowulf is going to save the long suffering kingdom! Class 4 have made an excellent start and I can't wait to see the finished result.

We have also had collective worship led by our wonderful prayer leaders, we discussed respect and courtesy and are on the look out for some lovely respectful behaviour! 

Week 3

We're so glad the sun is still shining, as we have been outside this week for PE, putting our basketball skills into practice. We have been learning how to dribble the ball and defend it from the opposition. Class 4 then put these skills into a mini game and had a go at shooting into the net!

It's so good to have everyone back!

This week we have used the book 'The World Needs Who You Were Made to Be' by Joanna Gaines as our focus.  In the book, as the children work together, they discover that everyone has their own set of skills and own way of learning. We decided that is the same for us! They begin to fill the sky with beautiful hot air balloons, and we learn that life is more vibrant when our differences are celebrated.

We then created our own hot air balloons.
