Autumn Term 2
Week 7
What a busy final week of the term. We have performed our Nativity in front of the whole school and in front of parents. We have been to the pantomime to watch Cinderella. We have watched KS2's pantomime. We have eaten Christmas dinner. And finally, we had a Christmas party!

Week 6
The weather has become very cold this week and our children have been talking about the change in the weather. Every morning we look at the weather forecast and one of our frosty mornings, we found ice outside. We decided to conduct an experiment! We looked at the weather forecast and saw that it was going to be a frosty night! We put some water outside in our tuff spot and left it over night. The next day, it had frozen over!
Week 5
In our RE lesson this week we have been learning the story of Christmas. We learnt to tell the story using our Nativity set. We took it in turns to tell part of the story.
Week 4
This week we have been revisiting patterns in our Maths lessons. Our Maths activities this week have been focusing on our fine motor skills. We have been threading repeating patterns and making patterns with gems.
Week 3
In our Maths lessons this week we have been learning our number bonds to 5. We have been using the Numberblocks to help us find the numbers hidden in 5. We have started to us Rekenreks in our whole class maths lessons to develop our counting skills.
Week 2
We have learnt about Remembrance Day this week. We watched the 'Poppies' animation and talked about why poppies are important on Remembrance day. We have been painting poppies.
Week 1
This week our story of the week has been 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. We have learnt to perform this story as a class. We now know this story very well and we are ready to perform it in our assembly!
