Week 4 

This week since we have been able to work on our reading skills with our Class 5 buddies! Some of us worked on our guided reading books, reading to our buddies and some of us listened to our buddies read a story to us. We have loved having buddy time this week. Class 1 are really proud to show off our reading skills and our understanding of stories we have listened to! 

Week 3

This week for our topic work we have been creating natural art. We went hunting for natural objects that we could use to create our art. Then we sat out in the glorious sunshine and create some wonderful natural art. We had people, suns, flowers, house and even a mermaid! 

Week 2 

This week we have been focusing on counting. As a class we have counting to 100 and beyond! Our Year Ones have also been using their understanding of tens to help count out larger numbers. We using 10 towers to help us count and practiced writing numbers on the boards. 

Week 1

Welcome back after the Easter Break! We have started this week off by getting back into our routine. We came back on Monday and had lots of stories to tell each other about our holidays! We have also started our new phonics groups and some of our children have started guided reading! We have had a busy week! We have been focusing on number recognition in Maths and have really enjoyed playing board games. We have also been exploring new provision - we really like the beads in the creative area at the moment.
