Week 4

This week we had our parent session. Our adults came to visit us in our classroom for a stay and play session. Before we showed our adults what we like to do in our busy time, we had a mini performance of our nursery rhymes. We chose our favourite nursery rhymes for our World Nursery Rhyme week last week and performed them for our adults. We did a fantastic job and we really loved to show everyone what we had been up to in class. 

Week 3 

Our focus for this week has been 'World Nursery Rhyme Week'. We have learnt lots of new nursery rhymes and songs. We have practiced them everyday and then invited Class 5 to be our audience! We were very proud of ourselves. One of our favourite songs is 'Down in the Jungle'. We have also been learning about subtractions this week and some of us have been very interested in working out number problems during busy time. 

Week 2 

This week we have continued to work with addition. We have used lots of different manipulatives to work out additions within ten. We have also started our morning starters. This week our morning starters have focused on writing simple sentences with a sentence starter on the board. We have to use our phonics skills to finish the sentence. We have read the story 'The Three Little Pigs' and helped Miss Olive create a story map of the story. 

Week 1 

This week we came back from the half term holidays ready for new challenges. We have been exploring our new provision and have especially enjoyed our new challenges in the challenge area. We have been creating firework pictures in our creative area. We learnt about Guy Fawkes and the story behind Bonfire night. We talked about being safe during Bonfire night.
