Spring Term 1

Week 6

 

Well done to Class 4 who took part in an assembly led by SYP to gain further information about how to stay safe whilst online and when in the community.  The topics included what social media is, age restrictions of social media and peer pressure both on and offline.  The children asked lots of questions and understood the impact and consequences of not being safe and sensible online.  Well done Class 4.

Thank you so much to Father Declan Brett for Visiting Class 4 today, the kids had a brilliant time finding out all about his work in the community and and what life is like as a Father in our church community.  They also had a great time time learning about his love of cooking, coffee and dark chocolate.

Week 5

 

What a fabulous start to our Traders and Raiders topic - a real Viking!  Class 4 had an amazing day, their outfits were fabulous and they got to experience life as Viking, spinning wool, raiding Lindisfarne, then taking part in a vicious battle before battling, conquering and burying the Viking.  Well done Class 4!

Week 5

 

As part of National E-Safety day the children have discussed peer pressure both in life and online.  Children have then made some videos to show how to help and educate others about what peer pressure is and who can help.

Week 4

 

This week Class 4 have worked on developing their scene settings to make them more concise against a visual stimuli, then developing their speaking and expression skills by reading them to a timed video in a David Attenborough style.  The children have then created their own movies that include their scene descriptions.

Week 3

 

This week children have continued to develop their balancing skills during PE.  They have looked at fluidity and motion of forward rolls, pointing their toes and then prepared a routine in pairs that involves 5 different balances and a roll.  Well done Class 4!

Week 2

 

This week Class 4 finished off their mixed media artwork , they used various techniques including sketching, water colours and chalks, along with a range of materials to complete them.

Week 1

This week children have begun looking at describing a setting using adjectives, similes, metaphors and personification.  They will use these skills to describe a scene from Harry Potter next week.

Children have also looked at Epiphany and the events around it.
