Week 7

What a very busy week! We started off with a wonderful nativity performance, all the children were amazing and tried really hard to learn lines and sing in their best singing voices!

On Tuesday, we had a letter from Santa explaining that he had been involved in a little accident over the weekend and he had broken his sleigh! Oh no! Santa asked Class 2 to help him design and build a new sleigh that he could use to deliver all the presents on Christmas Eve. Class 2 were very excited about the challenge and designed some wonderful sleighs.

Week 6

This week in Class 2, we have been practising exceptionally hard in preparation for our Nativity next week, we are looking forward to sharing it with everyone next week.

In Maths, we have been trying really hard with our partitioning skills and understanding the value of different numbers within 2 and 3 digit numbers. Take a look at some of the different methods we have been using.

Week 5

This week in Class 2, we have started to think about advent and entered into the liturgical period of waiting. Waiting for the arrival of Jesus. To help us to remember about the significance of this time of the church year we made our own advent wreath using handprints to represent the holly and card for the candles.

Class 2, were also proud to be asked to lead our schools Christingle service. Before we could do this we learnt about the Christingle and made one of our own that we could use during service.

Week 4

We were very excited to begin our topic this week in Class 2, bounce. To kick our learning off we looked at different ways animals move. To help us to do our follow up task of sorting how animals we practised being different animals. Can you guess which ones we were pretending to be?

Week 3

On Monday Class 2 enjoyed the whole school Judaism Day. We enjoyed doing a variety of different things. In Class 2, we made lollipop stick Star of David's and learnt about its significance within the Jewish religion.

Week 2

Another busy week in Class 2, we have had a lot of fun this week thinking about Friendships and how to be a good friend to each other. In PE, we worked in groups with Mr Johnson to play different invasion games whilst working cooperatively with other children in our group.

In PSHE, we looked at the qualities of a Good Friend and sorted actions into good and bad ones. We then used our knowledge of friendship qualities to write instructions about how to be a good friend.

A huge Thank you, to all parents, grandparents, auntie and uncles who joined in our celebration of learning assembly this afternoon. We hope you had as much fun as we did.

Week 1

This week in Class 2 we have been thinking very carefully about Internet Safety. We looked at  a variety of images and sorted them into safe and unsafe pictures, we found out that all the images we place on the internet can be accessed by others and what we must do to keep ourselves safe online. We also produced a class moto and emoji for keeping safe when we are online.
