Week 1
We've been busy as ever in our first week back after half term. In our writing, we investigated our new text type: instructions. As well as exploring the grammatical features, we also followed some instructions practically to see how the language affected our overall outcomes. We started by making jam sandwiches, but the instructions were a little bit lacking... "1. Make a jam sandwich the way Miss Mengoni likes best." It's safe to say we got a wide range of sandwiches!
In Maths, we've been looking at order of operations and using BIDMAS to help us remember what order to use within our calculations. We also revised our arithmetic skills of square and cube numbers, long multiplication and percentage knowledge.
