Summer 1

Week 5

We have had a fun story week this week where we have read lots of Julia Donaldson books. We have done writing, acting, singing and other activities for the stories "Stick Man" and "The Gruffalo". What an enjoyable week it's been😃

Try singing "The Gruffalo" song at home!🎶

Have a wonderful holiday ☀️

Week 4

We have continued to share good news and made streamers with our good news sentences on. We have been learning about Pentecost and made flame headbands to look like the disciples when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit. We could then speak in many different languages! We learned a song about saying hello to all the children of the world 🌎 To sing the song at home the link is:     https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GpTR1wF4M6k

Week 3

This week we have continued to learn about The Great Fire of London. We have been thinking about what we will need to make our own box model houses. Next week we will be busy building them. The children have had some great ideas. In R.E. we have been sharing good news. If you have any good news at home please encourage the children to write about it and bring it in to put in our good news book.

Dont forget school photographs on Thursday😃📸

Week 2

On Tuesday we were very lucky to have some lovely weather and so we went outside with Mr Johnson for P.E. It was great! Please remember to send outdoor pumps or trainers for P.E. this term.

In our topic work this week we have been learning all about The Great Fire of London. The children have been so interested and they have remembered lots of facts.

In R.E. we have been talking about Good News. The children have been talking and writing about what makes them feel happy and sad.

Week 1

We have had a lovely start to our summer term and the children have all been so excited and enthusiastic. We have been learning maths facts with "jingles" called "learn its" which we love and have been showing how maths is everywhere! Lots of learning in maths takes place as the children play both indoors and outdoors. Think about a normal day and how maths is taking place all the time everywhere around us- time, weight, measures, shape, calculations and the use of mathematical language.  Next week we will be starting multiplication in Class 1!

One family, growing together in love and faith, flourishing in an ever-changing world. We love, we believe, we shine, we achieve.
