We planned a party for Freddie and  Francesca the frogs and  made cards, wrote invitation cards and decorated the room for them. Some children decided to make Freddie and Francesca  lovely lily pad cushions for birthday presents.Take a look at some pictures from the party.

This week, class 1 visited Sheffield Emergency Services Museum to consolidate their learning about People Who Help Us. The children had plenty of opportunities to explore the museum and learn about the history of different emergency services. We are very proud of all the children from our federation who did not let their teachers, and most importantly, themselves down. Take a look at some of the pictures from the visit.

Week 2

This week class 1 visited Hoyland library as part of our Cornerstones topic,"Will you read me a story?"First we listened to a few stories then  took part in some treasure hunt activities. The children had a lovely time at the library and were very well behaved.

Week 1

In R.E this week, class 1 have been looking at Baptism. Children brought pictures of their own baptism to share with their friends. We  went into church and re-enacted the baptism of baby Georgia.   The baptism was well attended by a lot of family and friends. We then had some food to eat as we welcomed baby Georgia into God's family. Take a look at these photos, the priest did a fantastic job at remembering the baptism rites (with a little help from the Godparents).
