St Helens Catholic Primary School is delighted to share that we have been successful in the last year of being awarded 2 grants, enabling us to provide our children with much needed space, play equipment and quieter reflection areas in our playground.
Our children are already enjoying the benefits of the equipment installed and you will shortly see the news in the local press.
I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that plays the National Lottery – the school have been awarded nearly £10k towards our playground project and this is only possible through money raised by National Lottery players.
Also a great big thank you to the parents, staff and wider community who all shop at Tesco and voted for this amazing project. You all made a difference and the children of St Helens thank you from the bottom of their hearts. The £5k grant from Tesco Bags of Help has helped us to finish this project, giving our children better opportunities to be more physically active and improve their social, emotional and overall positive mental health.
PFA are also thanked for their contribution, to this and lots of other projects at the school. Without all of their hard work, organising fundraising events such as our school discos & fayres, projects such as these would not be possible at all.
Have a look at the photos below, they show you what a difference these grants have made to the children in our school.
