Welcome to Class 3 where everyday is an opportunity to do our very best and have fun trying. Miss Sheeran and Miss Stewart are looking forward to the start of a hard working and exciting year.

P.E - our P.E days will be Monday and Wednesday. We request children bring their kit into school on Monday and then leave it here just incase anything needs to change. Can we remind children that earrings needs to be removed before school as this is not allowed in P.E sessions.

Homework - homework will be set every two weeks on a Friday and is due in the following Friday. On most occasions this will include a piece of Literacy, Math and Spellings. We also use Time Table Rock Stars within our class and children are encouraged to access this as much as possible to develop their times tables knowledge and recall.

Reading Books - children are requested to bring their reading books into school everyday and books will be changed on Fridays. 

Topic - This half term our topic will be based around The Stone Age to Iron Age. We will be exploring life during this prehistoric period and the influences it has had on life today. We will be comparing our lifestyle with that of people from the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic times, looking at any similarities and differences. Our big question is - How are ancient traditions and beliefs reflected in today's society? Next half term we will be looking at Romans and how their beliefs, traditions and religion have influenced religion today. We will also be investigating how the Romans changed Britain and our way of life for good and how that is still reflected in today's society.
