Spring Term 2

Happy Easter!

and have a lovely break.

Week 8

This week we have done some amazing writing, retelling the Legend of Guarana from Brazil;  we've retold the Easter story, and we've learnt about tally charts, pictograms and bar graphs in our Smartie Maths investigation.

World Book Day

We enjoyed dressing up this week to celebrate World Book Day! Lots of us brought in the book of our character too.

We've learnt lots this week about 3d shapes and we even made some 3d shapes using cocktail sticks and sweets.

Week 4

This week we've been reading the book "How to hide a lion" by Helen Stephens.

We retold the story and then went on a lion hunt. Can you remember where we found the lion?

We mixed up two animals to make a new one.

What do you think this animal is called?

In maths we've been using tens and ones to help us with subtraction. The Year ones played Subtraction snakes and ladders and the Year 2s did some really tricky calculations!

Week 5

What a busy week we have had!

On Thursday we had our Parents' Afternoon. As part of our topic on Brazil, we made carnival masks and we also made Brigadeiros.

Today, Steve from Unbeatable Energy has been leading us on a Samba day.

We've played drums, surdos, tamborins and agogo bells. We performed to the rest of the school in assembly.

One family, growing together in love and faith, flourishing in an ever-changing world. We love, we believe, we shine, we achieve.
