Week 3

This week we have been on our trip to the RSPB Old Moor Reserve. We went pond dipping and found lost of creatures that live in the pond. We also went to see the birds and learnt about different types of birdsong. We went into a hide to watch the birds in the moors. After lunch we went bug hunting. We caught lots of different creatures in the grassland area and the woods. Our children were fantastic all day and had a wonderful time! Well done Class 1! 

Week 2 

This week Class 1 had their class assembly. Parents and carers came to watch our class talk about our current topic. We have been learning about life cycles and we retold the story of the very hungry caterpillar. We have been very busy writing about animals and getting creative in the creative area. Some of us have painted butterflies and models of butterflies. We were very proud of our performance! 

Week 1 

This week we had a special delivery! We have 5 baby caterpillars in our classroom. They arrived on Monday and already they have grown so much! We wrote signs and pinned them around our classroom to watch visitors about our caterpillars. We have magnifying glasses to look at our caterpillars. We have been observing them as they grow. They like to crawl around their pot and up the sides! We are very excited to watch them turn into butterflies!
