This half term we have enjoyed learning about Bright lights, Big city!
We have been making models and writing about London Landmarks.
Class 1 had a very exciting visit from the Easter bunny.. everyone received a chocolate egg in their Easter basket!
We are looking forward to continuing our topic after the holidays.
We enjoyed our class tea party and welcomed a very strange Queen ! The children behaved beautifully and enjoyed dancing, asking questions and sharing their facts about the queen and eating!
On Friday we will be imagining we are the queen (or king or a boy queen as suggested by a member of the class) and writing our rules. The children were not all impressed with my suggestion we all wear pink because it's my favourite!
Spring is coming! Well Class 1 think so! We went on a walk around the school grounds looking for signs of Spring as part of our new R.E topic 'Growing'. We have been thinking about what we need to grow, what plants need and will be thinking about spiritual as well as physical growth.
The children completed Lenten promises and placed them on the alter to help remind us of the changes we can make to be closer to God. Many of the children have promised to make a real effort to share with siblings and tidy their toys away so please let us know how well they are doing!
