Medium Term Plan:
Week 7:
This week we performed our Christmas play. We had all practised so hard for this show and were absolutely thrilled about how it went.
Week 6:
This week we created Christingles as part of our preperation for Christmas. We found out what each element of the Christingle meant and then made our own Christingles to help us prepare for the birth of Jesus.
Week 5:
This week we began creating the elements of our playground which we had planned. We created these using a range of different tolls and join to create the shapes that we wanted. We sometimes found that we needed to adapt our designs to make them work in the real world.
Week 3:
This week Class 5 began planning and starting the process of making our playground equipment models in Design Technology. We found out about how all the tools should be used, essential safety rules and different joints that could be used in our models.
Week 2:
This week class 5 have been learning about the different parts of the body in SPanish and have been learning the song Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes to help them remember the names.
They also led the school assembly for Remembrance Day and explained to the school the significance of the poppy.

Week 1:
This week we have been exploring squared and cube numbers and used multilik to investigate what cube numbers and square numbers were. We developed an understanding of how we could use physical apparatus to help us find square and cube numbers and then used calculations to help us find the answer to larger questions.
