What a scorcher! The children in school have done so well this week surviving the heatwave. We have been having our outside time early in the morning with lots of water play.
Class 1 have been treasures this year and all the staff would like to thank parents and carers for your continued support. Have a wonderful summer!
We had a fantastic Sports Day this week where all of our children took part in every activity and showed real sportsmanship
Thursday was Disco Day- wow what movers!!!
This week in Maths we are learning to count to 100 and look for patterns of numbers on the 100 square.
In Science we have been testing materials. We had to find out which material would work best to keep Teddy dry and be the best for making an umbrella.
We spent time with our Buddies to complete some of our D&T project- "Making Paper Toys" which was lots of fun and really challenging!
EIS Monday was a very active day! The children took part in 13 different events and were all superstars!!!
Transition days all went smoothly and we welcomed some new children to our Sacred Heart family
We had our 1st ever school trip this week! We went to Doncaster Museum and Gallery and had a fantastic day! We looked at portraits and made our own collaborative portraits using museum artifacts. Each work of art had a name and a background story- all created by our brilliant children
On Friday we made smoothies!
This week we have spent time with our Buddies! We have enjoyed the glorious sunshine too
Year 1 have all been doing the Phonics Screening Check and have been amazing- I am so proud of them all xx
