We had a very special visitor in school this week. Our newly re-elected MP Stephanie Peacock came to tell us the results of the local Christmas Card competition. We were so delighted a proud to find out that Sunny not only won the school competition but won the whole Barnsley competition and her card will now become the official Christmas card of Stephanie Peacock being sent to the local business's and charities Stephanie works with as well as to other MP's in Westminster. Well done Sunny.
We have worked very hard this week to produce some fantastic items to sell at our Christmas Fayre.
We have toffee wreaths at £3.50 each.
Snowman soup £1.50 or 2 for £2.50.
Christmas brooches for 20p.
We have also a fantastic game stall water or wine. For £1 you choose the wrapped bottles is it water or is it wine? If you are lucky enough to find the wine it is yours to keep.
Class 5 had the privilege to lead the schools annual Christingle service. It was a fantastic liturgy delivered perfectly by class 5 and enjoyed by all.
Class 5 were lucky this week to start off their brand new topic with a visit to the National Science and Industry Museum in Manchester. We were looking at the start of the Industrial Revolution. We looked at the workings of a cotton mill and how the cotton industry sparked the revolution and change in Manchester.
After missing our first session due to Crucial Crew last week Class 5 had their first Tae Kwon Do session this week with Dan. We loved every second of it and here we are showing off some of our new techniques.
After a well deserved break class 5 had a fantastic start to the new half term. We visited the lifewise centre in Rotherham for crucial crew. We had some fantastic and really helpful workshops on keeping ourselves and other's safe presented by all our emergency services. We were also very lucky (well half of us were sorry Mrs. Guest's group) to be awarded a certificate for being the cleanest group out of 8 at the centre that day.
