This week we were learning about 2D shapes. We went on a shape hunt around school then explored shapes through various activities.

We were learning about Baptism in R.E. We were also reading ‘The Little Red Hen’ story and enjoyed different activities linked to the story.

This week in R.E, we started a new topic.We learnt about how we can make others feel welcome.
We made cards for each other.
It was also Mental Health Day on Tuesday. We read The Colour Monster story and talked about our emotions and how we can positively explore them.

This week we learnt about the Harvest Festival. We made scarecrow pictures while practising our scissors skills. We also enjoyed meeting Moose and we’re looking forward to spending more time with him.

We had yet another busy week. We started the week perfecting our bike riding skills then went on an Autumn walk and looked for signs of Autumn. We finished the week sharing books with parents and exploring the outdoor area while enjoying the nice weather during our Golden Time.

Week 1
All Class 1 children have had an amazing start to this academic year! The new children are settling in quickly and have started making wonderful memories. We are so proud of how brave they have all been and we are looking forward to a fantastic year together. Take a look at our first memories.
