Week 4
In our Maths lessons this week we have been revisiting number bonds to 10. We have learnt how to use a whole-part model to help us know different number bonds for number bonds to 10. Our foundation children have been using numicon to help them to do this. Our Year 1 children have been practicing adding ones together, using the rekenreks and number lines to help us.
Week 3
Today we have been celebrating the coronation! We all came to school in red, white and blue to celebrate. We have been making crowns and flags!
Week 2
Class 1 have started their new History topic this week. Our enquiry question is 'How have toys changed?'. We had an exciting delivery from Barnsley Museum! A box of old toys! We have really enjoyed exploring these toys and we are all very interested in finding out more about old toys.
Week 1
Welcome back Class 1! We hope you have had a lovely Easter break. We have started our new art topic this week on using mixed media. Our Year 1 children have been exploring creating their own landscape pictures of the beach.
Our story of the week this week is 'Perfectly Norman' by Tom Percival. We have really enjoyed exploring some new vocabulary in this book.
