Week 5
This week we have been celebrating The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. We also had a Wellbeing Wednesday. We wrote compliments for our friends and enjoyed a yoga session together

Week 4
We have loved our new sand and water resources in our outdoor provision this week
We have been learning about Pentecost. We made flame headbands to help us learn about The Holy Spirit.
Week 3
In Science this week we have started a new unit of work about "Everyday Materials". The children have been naming, sorting and classifying objects and the materials they are made from.
In Art we have looked at Pablo Picasso again but this time his abstract work and "Cubism". We had a go at creating our own "Abstract Portraits". It was lots of fun!
In literacy we are focusing on writing sentences every day. Most children are now becoming much more independent when writing a sentence and remembering to use finger spaces!
Week 2
After a lovely long weekend the children have been working extra hard in phonics this weekend. Lots of children have been reading their new books at home and everyone has been remembering to bring book bags!
In Art we have been using colour to portray feeling in our portraits. They look wonderful!
We have welcomed our Nursery Easter starter children this week and Class 1 have helped them to settle in and feel safe at school
Week 1
Welcome back for our Summer Term! Our driver curriculum subject area this first half term is Art. We will be exploring portraits and different artists.
Our new reading books are being sent home this week along with the individual word packs which you will find in their book bags. PLEASE READ WITH YOUR CHILD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE Links to online RWInc lessons will also be sent home so that children get even more opportunities to revisit what they have learned in school.
