Here is a brave volunteer helping the demonstration that fire needs fuel, heat and oxygen to burn.
To make an explosion, fuel, heat, gas (oxygen) and pressure is needed. Professor Hydrogen peroxide made an explosion in a Hot Chocolate tin.
An explosion with water and Vitamin C tablets. The gas produced by the tablets builds the pressure in the cannister until it explodes.

Class 4 have had another awesome week. They are such a hardworking and conscientious class with lovely manners.
This morning we had our first parents reading morning of the year. It was so lovely to see so many parents in the classroom this morning, I know that the children really enjoyed it.
They all enjoyed their first P.E. lesson with Mr. Burgin, Coach from Active Fusion. They warmed up with a game of Scarecrow Tig and went on to work on basketball skills, primarily protective dribbling.

What a great first week we have had! Getting to know the children who have all come in with excellent attitudes to being back at school. They have all tried really hard and have been so kind and polite to one another as well as ourselves. We are really looking forward to a great year!
This half term the children are being transported back to the 1970s to learn all about Disco music. We have had a fabulous start to the topic as the children have learnt and appraised the song 'Bringing us Together' as you can see they have really enjoyed it!
