Autumn 1

Week 7

Final Weeksmiley Well done to  class one for making it to the end of this half term, still smiling and full of energy. We are so proud of you, especially, our foundation children.

We finished off our term with a class assembly where we celebrated our hard work and took a look at our term in pictures. A very big thank you to the friends and families of class 1 pupils who came to watch our assembly. I am immensely proud of how class 1 behaved during the assembly and how brave they were to perform in front of class 2 and all the grown ups who came to watch. I can imagine how proud you must have felt as friends and family watching how far your children have come in such a short space of time.

Here are some pictures from our assembly for those who were not able to come.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy, relaxed and fun filled break.

Class 1 Parents Assembly

This week we had a Welcoming Mass where we officially welcomed the new starters and their families to our school community. We were so proud of how well the children conducted themselves in church. The service was considerably long but not at any point did  the children let themselves down! They joined in eagerly and responded to the proceedings accordingly. Well done class 1!We noticed how hard you all tried to make good choices!smiley

Here are a few photos from the day.

Welcome Mass

This week it has been very wind. After checking the Trim trail, our "Health and  Safety Officer" for the day (Isaac) said it was not safe to go on it. While working outside, some children decided to tighten the bolts on the trim trail to make sure it would be safe to use.

WC 26/9/16-Fixing the trim trail.

To support Communication and Language development, this week the children were asked to bring something from home that they like. During circle time, children had an opportunity to talk abut their favourite thing. The year 1 children also  did some writing based on what they had brought in to school.

Thank you all for participating and allowing your child to bring their  favourite toys or books to school.smiley
