Welcome to Class 1's website page! On here we post what Class 1 has been up to during the week. Check in weekly to see what your child has been learning!
Below is some information for parents and carers.
Please ensure that your child brings their book bag to school everyday. Your child will often create sticky pictures, drawings and paintings to take home. They will put their creations in their book bags to make it easier for them to carry their things out.
When letters are sent out children will put their letters in their book bags. Please make sure you check your child's book bag for letters. If slips need to be returned for trips or anything else, please pass these on to Miss Olive or Mrs Cowling who will be available in a morning or after school.
Children will be given a new reading book to bring home on FRIDAYS. Please return reading packs back to school by WEDNESDAY.
Online RWI Classroom
We now have access to the RWI Virtual Classroom for our children. Children access this in school. Children can also access this at home. This is now their home learning resource. A 2Do will be set on their Purple Mash account. Open their 2Do to access the links to the lessons. New links will be set every Friday.
Weather and Clothing
Please ensure that your child brings appropriate clothing to school. We are aiming to spend as much time outside as we can this term!
We go outside whatever the weather!
You are welcome to provide your child with a pair of wellies to keep on their peg in school.
This term we are hoping for more summer weather! Please make sure your child is prepared for hot and sunny days. Please send them to school with sun cream already applied. If you wish your children reapply their sun cream during the day, please send sun cream in with their name on the bottle.
Please also remember to bring their water bottle to school.
Our PE day is Wednesdays. Please remember to remove earrings. Children with earrings in will not be permitted to do PE.
Your child is welcome to bring a water bottle to school. There is a water bottle box next to the sink and your child will know where to put it.
Our current topic is 'Can we make Art with Nature?'. For the next four weeks we will be looking at landscape are and recreating natural art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy.
Thank you for your continued support!
