This Thursday, Class 2 went on our Wriggle and Crawl School Trip to Dearne Valley Old Moor and we had so much fun pond dipping and catching mini-beasts to learn about them.
Well done to everyone in Class 2 for a fantastic day and for their outstanding behaviour!
This Tuesday, Class 2 practised their cricket skills and then, we took part in our own cricket game. Everyone really enjoyed our session.
Well done on your excellent cricket skills Class 2!
This week, Class 2 have started focusing on our new topic 'Wriggle and Crawl' in Literacy and they have created their own narrative on 'A day in the life of a caterpillar' being inspired by the children's book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. They have created some beautiful writing!
Well done Class 2
This week, we had our P.E session outside because the weather was so beautiful and we started developing skills we need to play cricket.
The children behaved so well during our session and some, also, enjoyed the opportunity to read with a teacher outside!
This week, Class 2 have continued to work extremely hard completing lots of SATs revision. They have shown they are developing excellent growth mindsets.
Some great spelling work we completed was on butterfly templates; on each wing we wrote a word that could form a contraction and then, we wrote the shortened word in the centre of the butterfly.
Everyone showed they understand how to form and spell contractions. Well done Class 2!
Welcome back Class 2
