We have had a very busy week in Class 1 this week! We have learnt about Advent Wreaths in our RE lessons and our Y1 children made their own Advent Wreaths. Our FS2 children have been practicing their counting skills in maths and makng numberblock stairs!
Our Year 1 children have been learning about 3D shapes and which shapes are strong enough to make a structure. We found out that the strongest shape is a cylinder. We started to make cylinders for our structure that we will make next week.
Our Year 1 children have been investigating friction in their science lesson this week. They used a ramp with different materials to see how it changed the speed of objects rolling down the ramp.
We have been learning about Remembrance day this week. We have watched the CBBC Animation 'Poppies' and talked about why we wear poppies on during remembrance week. The children have then made their own poppies for our poppy wreath and painted poppy pictures.
