Week 5 w.b 5/2/24

We were very sad that we had to cancel our parents afternoon this week. We were all looking forward to teaching you the different mediums we learned in our still life projects. We wanted you to see them anyway so have put together a few examples below of our negative imagery, watercolour and charcoal still life pictures of the objects that mean the most to us.

Week 4 w.b 29/1/24

This week in PE we have been looking at extending our gymnastics routines to include rolls. We have practiced the forward, backwards, barrell, straddle and straight roll and had a lot of fun attempting these safely.

Week 3 w.b 22/1/24

In Science we have been looking at different ways we can classify animals and how they are classified in different ways scientifically. We have spent weeks creating flow charts and classification grids thinking how we could classify a range of animals into different groups. This week we have looked at plants, we have looked at hoe certain plants seed as a classification and also studied what it meant to be a vascular and a non-vascular plant.

Week 2 w.b 15/1/24

This week we began our new PE topic looking at gymnastics. We looked at points of contact to the ground and how we could use these to create our own symmetrical and asymmetrical balances. We then put this into practice with a group using a piece of apparatus to put together a routine. We will now be looking at movement and transitioning in between our balances to help the routine flow.
