Summer 1

This half term we are finishing off our topic A Child's War. We are learning about Anne Frank and the use of propaganda during the war. After that we are moving onto our next topic Hola Mexico where we will be learning all about the culture and history of the Mexican people. We are also preparing to sit our SATs.

Week 4:

This week we have created some amazing artwork in RE linked with Pentecost focusing on the ideas of fire, doves, crosses and the receiving of the Holy Spirit.

Week 3

This week has been SATS week. the children have worked very hard and we are incredibly proud of every single one of them. Even though this week has been hard work we have still had fun, especially at our SATS party. Below are a few of the pictures of the fun things we have been doing this week.

Week 2:

This week we have been preparing for our SATs and we are ready and raring to go. We have tried to make our learning as fun as possible and finished of this week with an orienteering course to help us revise some of our grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS) concepts.

Week 1:

This week we have looked at the use of propaganda during World War 2. We talked about some famous slogans and imagery used and the feelings that they tried to create. We then created some of our own representations of World War 2 propaganda.

We also completed our dioramas of trenches used during the war adding in details to make them as accurate as possible.
