Week 4
This Tuesday, Class 2 went to the Millennium Galleries for a tour and clay workshop. Everyone created beautiful drawings which they used to inspire their clay sculptures. We are waiting for these to dry to then paint them in school.
We had our lunch in the Winter Gardens and then travelled to Graves Gallery which is next door to the Millennium Galleries and Winter Gardens.
We had a wonderful time in Graves Gallery exploring more artwork.
We finished our trip with a visit to the Peace Gardens.
Everyone we came across commented on Class 2's beautiful behaviour and enthusiasm for Art.
Well done Class 2 on a wonderful school trip!

Week 1
On Thursday 16th June, Class 2 had our Parent’s Afternoon to continue our topic on
Portraits: Colour and Emotion.
In the afternoon, we made abstract sculptures inspired by the work of Pablo Picasso & Sandra Silberzweig using a variety of recycled materials and decorations.
Class 2 made some fantastic sculptures and had lots of fun creating them.
Thank you to all parents and carers that attended and made our Parents Afternoon a great success!
