We have started reading our new class novel, 'The Nowhere Emporium' by Ross MacKenzie.
In literacy we have been looking at the features of instructional writing in preparation for writing our own instructions. We have considered how rhetorical questions can be used to hook the reader in and encourage them to continue reading on.
In PE we played hockey. We practiced dribbling and passing the ball around obstacles and to other players.
In Picture News we talked about what we can do to help protect wildlife that live in our local environments. Birdwatch is an annual event organised by the RSPB. People are invited to look out for birds in their gardens at home. The data is collected and helps scientists to monitor bird numbers and deduce if any species are in decline.
