Week 7
This week in Science we have been continuing our learning all about keeping healthy, focusing on healthy eating. We learned about all of the different food groups and how much of each one we should be eating each day. We then took on the role of chefs and were given the task of designing a new menu for a healthy restaurant. We split into three groups to design different types of meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Week 6
This week in Geography, we have been looking at Ordnance Survey maps of the UK and spotting human and physical features. We have talked about map symbols and begun to find out about the coastal town of Whitby.
Week 4
We have had another busy week in Class 2! In Geography we have been learning about the human and physical features of coastal towns, and in maths we started our new topic of multiplication with some practical work.
We've also had some new beanbags arrive in school this week so we really enjoyed Guided Reading!
Week 3
This week in Science we have been learning about life cycles. We looked at a variety of different life cycles together as a group, including a video demonstrating the interesting life cycle of a frog.
We then split into two groups to complete and activity. Half of the class created a life cycle of a human and the other half created a life cycle of a duck. We used an eBook to help us to gather information required to complete our life cycles. We then discussed the similarities and differences of the two life cycles.
