St Helen’s Catholic Primary School

Spring Term 2

Week 6

This week has been a very special week in school with the children taking part in a play all about 'Spy Wednesday' when Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. Class five have led a wonderful assembly explaining the events leading up to Jesus' death through the 'Stations of the Cross'.

Week 5

We have had another exciting week this week, with pajama and movie afternoon on Monday,  penalty shoot out on Wednesday and a talk from the fire service on Thursday. Although we didn't score a goal we still had fun!

Week 4

This week we have been very lucky as the 'Tour de Yorkshire' has visited school. We had the chance to look at the trophy, which is gold plated and cost over £5000!

Week 3

World Book Day 2018!

Week 2

A big thank you to Mr Clarke for coming into school and giving the children a talk on mountaineering. We had a fantastic morning and learnt lots of amazing things! Thank you also to all the parents / carers who came to our parents afternoon, we are just sorry that the Yeti brought all that snow with them.

Week 1

Welcome back class 3. This week we have begun our new topic about mountains. We have started reading 'The Abominables' by Eva Ibbotson  and hope to read Michael Morpurgo's book 'King of the Cloud Forrest'.

One family, growing together in love and faith, flourishing in a diverse and ever-changing world. We love, we believe, we shine, we achieve.
