Our Federation behaviour policy was launched in January 2025. The policy was developed to focus on praise and recognising all the wonderful things our children do every day. The behaviour policy is used throughout the school day: within our wrap around care, at lunch and play times, in lessons and within group work and assemblies.
The behaviour policy follows a simple behaviour ladder which displays achievements and successes as children move up to 'Flying High,' 'Reach for the Stars' and 'Federation Super Star.' When they reach these levels, parents are informed via our school rewards system Dojo. Our 'Reach for the Stars' postcards have been designed by children across the three schools.
If a child displays behaviours which need a warning or further sanctions, this is done on a personal level - the child will receive a warning card or a detention. Parents are informed via Dojo Message if a child receives a detention.
Before launching our policy in January 2025, all parents were invited to a meeting to discuss and share our new policy. The slides from these meetings are available to view below. The children also shared an assembly to learn all about the new behaviour chart, rewards and how they could earn Dojo points.
Please contact your child's school if you have any questions about our behaviour policy.
