This week we have been busy rehearsing for our Last Supper drama on Thursday. It's going well and you parents are in for a treat.

Parents Afternoon

Thank you so much to all the parents that attended parents afternoon this afternoon. it was so much fun! The children have loved sharing their learning and teaching you all about coding on scratch. I hope you enjoyed it too!

This week in Design Technology, our project came to a close. The children researched, designed, drew and made an electric poster suitable for a museum about an aspect of The Vikings. They made a fantastic job, look closely to see the electrified aspect of the poster - a light bulb !

P.E. Air Hockey

Due to the wet weather this week we played air hockey in the hall, practicing our accuracy skills.

We learnt about some of the geography in Greece on "Other Cultures Day". The children enjoyed a Greek foods taster today ( most of them did anyway). They looked at pictures of some of the ancient sites, the island destinations and saw a video of the changing of the guard at the Presidential Palace in Athens where the Evzones, who are volunteers drawn from the Hellenic Army’s Infantry Corps, change guard each hour. They also designed their own Greek vase.

This week we have been practicing our hockey skills focusing on moving with the ball.

This week the children worked on their music; they practiced using virtual glockenspiels. They did a great job! Watch out Britain's Got Talent!

History

To complete our History topic from last half term the children created their own mastermind style quizzes and tested each other on their knowledge of Viking society. 

Computing

This week we have continued our work from last term using Scratch to create a computer programme using Variables.

RE

In R.E. this week, the children were learning about the Passover and how it is remembered by Jewish families today. They wrote scripts for an "expert" guest to explain the information.
