What are we learning this half term?
A busy week!
Despite this week only being 4 days, the children have been very busy!
We started our week with a parent event and some very excited, eager children. As part of our RE topic, the children and their adults made stained glass windows. It was a very messy but fun afternoon - the children loved it! Thank you to those that came.

Class 3 have spent Friday morning learning about The Gunpowder Plot and why we celebrate bonfire night. We have been preparing for lots of fun and fireworks this weekend by learning how to stay safe around sparklers, bonfires and fireworks.

Week 3 - rain, rain go away!
We've had lots of rain this week and wet playtimes so the children have stayed moving and energised by taking part in 'Just Dance' and exercise videos during break times.
Week 4 - making a start on our Christmas calendars! We are excited to take these home!
Week 5 - The children are working hard on completing their assessments this week with some Christmas Fayre preparations and fun inbetween! Thank you to everyone who came to see our advent assembly - we hope you enjoyed it. The children have enjoyed thinking about the true meaning of Christmas and making their own advent promises.
We have ended this week with a special visitor who has arrived in our class 
Week 6
The children started the week with an assembly from Mr Ainsworth all about the Christingle! We explored the Christingle in class by finding out about their meaning and making our own. Look at our fantastic Christingles... 
KS2 gave it their all in our Rudolph Run! Thank you for your generous donations to support Barnsley Hospice and our school.
