Spring Term 2

Week 6

This week as part of our science topic on animals and their habitats as well as evolution and inheritance we took a trip to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. For many in the class it was their first experience of seeing many of the bigger zoo animals.

They all had such a fantastic day.

Week 5

This week we were lucky enough to have our parents come into school and show off all of our fantastic work we have completed in our parents assembly.

we all wrote and performed our parts excellently and produced an excellent assembly.

Week 4

This week it was time for our mains. We worked well together to produce two fantastic curries and two fantastic bolognaises. We were able to work with different spices and use other kitchen equipment like slow cookers, food processers and pestle and mortars.

Week 3

This week was our chance to prepare our starters. We made all the school jealous because of the beautiful soup smell coming from our room all day.

In total we made 6 litres of soup and not one drop was left in the end.

Come dine with me.

As part of our D and T lessons we will be completing food technology lessons for this half term.

The class has been split into 4 cooking teams - The Master Chefs, The Cookers, The mini Gordan Ramsey's and The tiny chefs.

Each group have 2 members planning and preparing a starter, two planning and preparing a main and two planning and preparing a desert.

Our final menus are:

The tiny chefs - Chicken noodle soup, Chicken tikka masala and cookies;

The Master chefs - Chicken soup, Chicken Curry and a fruit platter;

Mini Gordan Ramseys - Chicken soup, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Oatmeal cookies;

The cookers - Chicken soup, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Cookie dough.

Keep watching our website for our final courses.

Week 2

Today we had such a fantastic treat. Kate Spencer from west end in school came into school today to do a creative arts workshop. We studied The Tempest by William Shakespeare. We recreated the characters through our poses and how we move around the room as well as performing Prosperos epilogue.

Week 1

In PE this week we were finishing our gymnastic lessons. We looked at balancing and tried to balance on different numbers of points of contact with the floor. Can you guess how many points of contact we are trying in each picture?

One family, growing together in love and faith, flourishing in an ever-changing world. We love, we believe, we shine, we achieve.
