Week 7 

This half term in music we have been working on a song called "Friendship".

We have thought about the pitch and rhythm of the song and used tap sticks to mark the pulse. Here is our final performance of the song.

Week 6

Today we finished our science investigation. We decided that plants need both light and water to grow healthily. Have a look at the photos. What do you think!

Week 5

Another busy week in Class 2!

We are carrying on with our investigation into "What do plants need to grow healthily?"  We have noticed that the plants that have water but no light are looking very poorly even though they are growing!

In maths we have found some more strategies for subtraction including counting on along a number line to find the difference between two numbers.  

Week 4

In topic this term we are asking "Does art make the world a better place?"

We started by reading the book "The noisy paint box" and we are currently exploring the work of the artist Kandinsky. 

Week 3

We are investigating what plants need to grow healthily. This week we have planted some sunflower seeds. Some of the seeds will not be given water and some of the seeds will not have any sunlight. We are going to find out how they grow. We will let you know!

Week 2

We have started our new science topic which is about plants. 

We have learnt about the different parts of a plant and today we went looking for signs of spring in our school grounds. We thought about evergreen and deciduous trees and plants, and we manged to find examples of both.
