General

Please make sure you bring your school bag everyday with your reading books, reading journal and spelling journal. Also, please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Please make sure you write your child’s name in all of their school clothes as it is very challenging to reunite lost items to their owner when they have no name on.

Dojo’s will be handed out for all completed homework, online and in books.

Reading in Class 4

Reading sessions in school are based on a high quality class text. Our first class book is Kensuke's Kingdom. In Reading sessions, we read extracts from our text, explore tier two vocabulary, and the syntax, as well as completing other activities to gain a deep understanding of the text.

If you read three times a week and it is written in your reading journal, you will get a sticker in your journal and dojo points – given on Monday.

Reading books will be sent home of appropriate challenge from our book banded books. 'For the love of reading’ books will be sent home and your challenge is to try and read all of these texts this year.

One family, growing together in love and faith, flourishing in a diverse and ever-changing world. We love, we believe, we shine, we achieve.
