Spring Term 2

Week 6 (WC 3.4.23)

Today the whole school took part in the stations of the cross which retells the last day of Jesus' life on Earth. We all made our own crosses and placed them on a large cloth cross in the hall, we sang songs and listened as class 5 explained the twelve stations. On Wednesday Class 3 performed their "Spy Wednesday Play" about the betrayal of Jesus by Judas, well done Class 3, fantastic acting and singing.

Week 2 (WC 27.2.23)

Class 3 had a fantastic drama lesson this week learning all about William Shakespeare and the Tempest, as you can see they had great fun acting out the different parts and performing to the class at the end, well done! In  literacy we have been learning about similes and metaphors and how they are used in poetry. Next week we will begin writing our own poems.

Week 1 (WC 20.2.23)

Welcome back Class 3, we hope you had a restful and happy week! This week we have begun a new PE topic - hockey, so far we have learnt how to hold the stick correctly and the skills needed to stop and push the ball, amazing effort from everyone. In music we have been learning a new song 'Another One Bites the Dust by Queen', I think they have done rather well as there were some difficult notes to learn. On Tuesday the children had an assembly all about Lent and how to become closer to God by reflecting on the time Jesus spent in the desert. To mark the start of Lent children were given  the ashes that were from the previous year's Palm Sunday celebration on their forehead in Wednesday's assembly. Finally, from our 'Children in Need' fundraising our class had enough money to buy a goat for a family in India, thank you so much.

One family, growing together in love and faith, flourishing in an ever-changing world. We love, we believe, we shine, we achieve.
