Week 6 (WC 25.3.24)
This week we had a visitor in school he brought us some delicious Easter treats, thank you so much Moose we really enjoyed your visit. We have also been working hard in literacy writing shape poems about the weather. Well done!
Week 4 (WC 11.3.24)
This week we have been very busy is class. On Tuesday it was other cultures days and we learnt lots of interesting things about Japan. We drew these beautiful pictures of the 'Great Wave' by Katsushika Hokusai, then we learnt how to write in Japanese, this wasn’t easy but we had a go. Also, this week we planted sunflowers for the Sunflower Challenge for World Down Syndrome Day 2024.
Week 3 (WC 4.3.24)
Thank you so much to all the parents who attended Class 3s Parent's Afternoon, it was really lovely to see you all and the children really enjoyed creating their Roman shields with you. We were also very lucky this week when another visitor came to see us in class 3, our dear friend Moose the dog visited to do a reading workshop with the class, we were all very pleased to see him!
Week 2(WC 26.2.24)
Music
In music this week we have been playing the ukulele with increasing accuracy, fluency and control. The clip below shows how hard the class has been working listening with attention to detail and recalling the different key notes that Mr Kelly has been teaching them, well done!
Week 1(WC 19.2.24)
Welcome back Class 3 and well done for settling straight back into lessons. This week we have begun a new book in reading called "Leonora Bolt, secret inventor" by Lucy Brandt, the children are very excited to find out about all her secret inventions. In topic we have started learning about Europe with a focus on the human features of Germany. In writing we are completing our diary entries of a Roman soldier, then next week we will be moving onto character descriptions.
