Spring 2
Week 7:
This week our work has been focused on Easter and Holy Week celebrations. We have researched and presented and assembly on the Stations of the Cross, created our Easter cards and found out about the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
Week 6:
This week we started writing non-chronological reports about Pokemon. We researched different Pokemon and put ourselves in the role of a professor writing a scientific report about these incredible creatures.
Week 5:
In literacy this week we started planning and writing persuasive letters to Mr Thorpe focused on persuading him to allow us to abolish school uniform and always wear our own clothes. We used different persuasive devices such as emotive language and rhetorical questions to help make our point.
Week 4:
This week we created stained glass windows as part of our RE topic. These windows had a central images showing all of us as individuals but united through our love and faith in God.
Week 2:
This week we completed our poetry unit based on the class book we have been reading called Floodland. We created narrative poems retelling parts of the story and then illustrated them based on illustrations in the book.
Week 1:
As part of our celebration of World Book Day this week we all dressed up as some of our favourite book characters and then some of our class created a dramatic retelling of The Hobbit.
