Christmas jumper day and a rehearsal of Key Stage 2's carol concert for classes 1 and 2.
Class 5 are very sad that this was our last week working with Azizzum Akhtar who has been a fantastic Tae Kwon Do coach. He has given the class a fantastic taster of the wonderful martial art that is Tae Kwon Do and left many in class and in school wanting to try more in clubs outside of school. Details of Azizzum's club will be made available through our Facebook page and can also be found in the school office.
Thank you Azizzum.
Class 5 have been working very hard this week to produce a fantastic Christingle service. We would like to thank all parents for their attendance and we hope you enjoyed the service as much as we did performing. the photos can be found on the schools Facebook page.
This week our school was very lucky as we had a Taekwondo instructor in school. He will be in for the next two weeks and class 5 loved our Taekwondo lesson. I was so proud to see everyone participate and try their best and it was a lovely early morning fitness wakeup before we continued our SAT's tests.
Class 5 were very lucky this week to be able to have our parents and grandparents in class with us for a very fun parents afternoon.
We worked very hard and in lots of creative ways to create a replica of Darwin's boat the H.M.S Beagle. This was a fantastic way to finish our topic and it was enjoyed by all.
Class 5 have made a fantastic start to their first week back. In literacy we have been looking at diary writing and how to write an effective diary.
Today we focused on the introduction. we looked at the use of emotive language and how the mood of the rest of your diary is set in the introduction. Have a look at the videos below and see if you can work out what mood our characters were in when they wrote their diaries.
Class 5 have had a fantastic trip this week to Crucial Crew. We learned all about keeping ourselves safe. We loved the different scenarios in a court room, how to respond in a fire and how to keep ourselves safe on roads and on the bus.
We loved especially learning the recovery position and potentially saving a life. The class did the school proud with their attitude and behaviour all day.
