Week 5
What an action packed week this week has been, The year 5 children have had talks with SY Police about safety and knife crime as well as understanding what child exploitation is, how it occurs, its signs and how to stay safe from it. Meanwhile, in literacy, the children have read the children's story of Hamlet, listened to his 'dagger' soliloquy, watched the scene of the soliloquy to make comparisons between listening to it and watching it be performed, before having a go at writing a simple one for themselves. Next week, the children will then write one as their avatar character from their fantasy narrative as they travel through Alchemy Island. Finally, the children have also worked incredibly in PE with Mr Johnson - check out the videos below.
