Sport Stars

For working together in groups, using backhand strokes in a controlled manner.

Stitch Head by Guy Bass - our new guided reading book. There are a whole series of books which come after this one. The children have really enjoyed this book in the past.

P.E. - Tennis

Tennis is synonymous with Summer, sunshine and strawberries but not today. We were eventually rained off and forced to retreat to the hall.

Here are some warm up pictures before moving on to backhand.

Jabberwocky -Performance Poetry

We have completed this week by learning and performing the poem the Jabberwocky. We had lots of fun. Why not listen to our Micheal Rosen inspired versions?

Science

We are been investigation the properties of different rock this week. We dropped rocks in water to check their density, rubbed then against sandpaper to test their durability and dropped water on them to see if they were permeable. We have used this information to look at their uses.

Religious Education

Here are Peter and John, the disciples in R.E. being interviewed by the children about their arrest and their new life given by the Holy Spirit.

Literacy Focus is 'The Jabberwocky' by Lewis Carroll.

It is a nonsense poem which was included in his 1871 novel Through the Looking-Glass, the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

Class 4 had a fantastic time on their visit to Magna this week! The children behaved perfectly and were a credit to their families and to the school.

The workshop on volcanoes and rocks was both fun and educational, the photos are amazing!
