Summer Term 1

Week 3

 

This week, children have explored a non-fiction text about a persuasive leaflet to visit Italy. Class 3 continued to improve on their vocabulary and fluency. However, towards the end of the week children worked on their comprehension skills by answering question about the text.

 

In Literacy this week, children have been focusing on persuasive leaflets. Class 3 have created there very own persuasive leaflet with some incredible  discounts persuading you to visit Germany.

 

In RE Class 3, have been learning about lent. Children learnt about a new way of living. Children in class 3 answered many questions and wrote about what makes a generous heart. 

 

In Maths class 3, have just finished capacity and now we are focusing on time.

 

In Art this week, children have been learning about Prehistoric Art and to understand how prehistoric men made art. Class 3 experimented with the pigments in natural products for example, grass, soil, flowers and moss to try and make different colors.

 

Well done Class 3 for all of your hard work this week!

Week 2

 

This week, children have explored a non-fiction text about a persuasive leaflet to visit Norway. Class 3 continued to improve on their vocabulary and fluency. However, towards the end of the week children worked on their comprehension skills by answering question about the text.

 

In Literacy this week, children have been focusing on persuasive leaflets. Class 3 worked in pairs to create an introduction about visiting Germany as this is what there persuasive leaflet will be about. Towards the end of the week class 3 began to write there 1st paragraph about a famous landmark in Germany the Brandenburg gate.

 

In RE Class 3, have been learning about lent. Children learnt about a new way of living. Children in class 3 answered many questions and wrote about what makes a generous heart. 

 

In Maths year 3, have been focusing on measuring capacity and year 4 having been rounding decimals. 

 

In Art this week, children have been learning about Prehistoric Art and to understand how prehistoric men made art. Class 3 had the enlarge there drawings from last week and use a different type of medium

Week 1 

 

This week, children have explored a non-fiction text about a persuasive leaflet to visit France. Class 3 continued to improve on their vocabulary and fluency. However, towards the end of the week children worked on their comprehension skills by answering question about the text.

 

In Literacy this week, children have been focusing on persuasive leaflets. Class 3 identified key features of a persuasive leaflet and worked together to create a paragraph about persuading MR Davies to go to Meadowhall. 

 

In PE this week, children have been introduced to tennis. Children have learnt how to hold a racket and how to keep control of the tennis ball when using the racket.

 

In Art this week, children have been learning about Prehistoric Art and to understand how prehistoric men made art. Class 3 drew the outline shapes of native British animals.
