Week 7
Well done class 3, what a wonderful Harvest Assembly! Excellent singing and lovely clear speaking.
Week 6
Thank you to all the parents / grandparents that attended class 3's parents afternoon. The children created some amazing Greek themed things. Well done to everyone!
Week 4
This week we have been learning new songs in ukulele with Mr Waller. In maths we have been working on adding 10, 100 and 1000 to three and four digit numbers. During literacy we have been thinking about settings and characters for our own Greek myth, which we will begin writing next week.
Week 3
This week we have travelled back in time to ancient Greece. In our topic books we have written an account of the day we met the Minotaur in his labyrinth. We have also looked at the human and physical features of Greece.
Week 2
This week we have been working hard in literacy reading Greek myths and understanding their features so we can begin writing our own stories. We have also been improving our knowledge of place value in maths, building on the children's existing understanding.
Week 1
Class 3 has made a fantastic start to the new school year, full of energy and enthusiasm! This week we have had a mystery box delivered into school, with a large sign that says 'Do not open'. As a class we are determined to find out who the box belongs to! In our first topic lesson we have located Greece on a map and added important places. In RE our focus has been about the joys and sorrows we might experience living in our home.
